We will be opening another series of classes this month.  Here is the schedule for June of 2020.  Remember, the Introduction to Public Works class is the prerequisite to all other classes.  It’s a great place to start!

  • Supervision:  Class starting June 8, 2020
  • Streets Construction and Maintenance: Class starting June 8, 2020
  • Asphalt and Concrete Cement:  Class starting January June 8, 2020
  • Inspections:    June 8, 2020
  • Traffic Control:  June 8, 2020
  • Concrete Structures Inspections June 8, 2020
  • Municipal & Urban Tree Care June 8, 2020
  • Contract Administration: June 8, 2020  NEW CLASS!

Tuition for the classes is $75.00 each and a $3.00 credit card processing fee.   Payment and registration can now be made on line at the MSA website!

Once we have 4 students registered per class, the instructor will contact you with details of the scheduled conference calls.  They usually last about 30-45 minutes  in the evening.  These calls are 20% of your course grade and are invaluable to your education.

The growth of this program has been astounding.  While we worked toward the completion of the remaining courses, we are aware of your commitment and dedication to the Public Works Industry.  This warrants a reward for those of you who have completed at least half of the courses to the Public Works Specialist Certification.  The Executive Committee of the Maintenance Superintendents Association, unanimously voted to offer a one year certification for the Public Works Technician.  Those of you who have successfully completed six (6) of the courses will receive your recognition within the next few months.  I will be going through alphabetically and start mailing them out.
